Welcome to INATE.org. INATE stands for INvestigators Against ThromboEmbolism.
INATE was conceived at the start of 2001 by a core group of international opinion leaders in the field of venous thromboembolism (VTE) to be the source of information for both healthcare professionals and patients in the prevention and treatment of VTE. INATE is more than just an Internet site, details about the entire initiative can be found in 'What is INATE?' The site contains information for both patients and healthcare professionals. INATE is sponsored by an unrestricted educational grant from sanofi-aventis. This website is free of charge.
Healthcare Professionals. We require that all healthcare professionals register to access the information pages. On the date that the registration process is completed you become an authorized Member of the INATE initiative and your agreement to all the provisions contained in these Terms and Conditions is a prerequisite of continued membership. In return, INATE.org will provide you with a reliable source of high-quality information and education resources. The information contained in the healthcare professionals’ section does not constitute medical advice. Appropriate medical judgment must be used in the management of each individual patient.
Patients. We aim to provide a highly valued and comprehensive information source about VTE and practices in its prevention and treatment. The INATE Core Group Members have placed special emphasis on educating patients in order to raise awareness and understand the risk of deep-vein thrombosis.
