Dr Bruce Davidson, a Pulmonary-Critical Care Medicine Specialist, was educated at Haverford College and Temple University Medical School, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. He received his training in internal medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, in pulmonary medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, and in public health at Johns Hopkins University. He is Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Division, University of Washington School of Medicine, and practices at Swedish Medical Center and Harborview Hospital.

Dr Davidson has been involved in directing development of a low-molecular-weight heparin and has participated in numerous studies evaluating these agents clinically, as well as studies evaluating diagnostic tests for thromboembolism.

Dr Davidson has written many scientific papers, invited editorials and textbook chapters and serves as a reviewer for several journals. He is also on the Editorial Board of Chest. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Chest Physicians.
