The INATE Core Group developed the following mission statement in order to ensure successful implementation of initiatives.

INATE is an international, multidisciplinary website dedicated to the use of clinical evidence and real-world experience to improve the management of venous thromboembolism (VTE). The website will achieve this by increasing the awareness of the problem, improving cross-disciplinary communication and addressing unmet medical needs among healthcare professionals and patients.
The INATE Core Group has identified the following goals to accomplish this objective:
- to increase the awareness of venous thromboembolism (VTE) among both healthcare professionals and patients
- to ensure that clinical research is translated into medical practice
- to develop educational initiatives and facilitate relevant research to optimize the management of VTE
